I hope all is well with you and you are getting a well deserved break as

well as working at the Olive Branch?

I was wondering if you were still looking for horse work over the summer?
I have a PhD student, Clare Alison who collects hair samples from horses
for DNA analysis. She will be off collecting samples from around Wales
over the summer and would be very grateful if you were able to help her?
You would get to handle lots of different horses, mares, foals and some
stallions. You would also be able to help with collecting information from
each horses passport and measuring their height, bone circumference, hip
widths for example. It's perhaps not quite what you were after in terms of
stable work, but it I think you would find it interesting. We would do our
best to fit it in around your part-time job at the restuarant. Also, if
you are interested in lab work I'm sure Clare would be willing to show you
how we extract DNA from hair samples, and analyse different genes too. It
could lead to a dissertation project ready for your final year if you were
really keen.
